The construction of sphericity puller shown in Fig 6.9 is only used in molds with a stripper plate. The plastic injected into the mold and runner system, and solidifies on/to the undercut pin or sphericity puller, machined on the end of the central pin, which pulls out the waste from the sprue bush when the mold is opened. The stripper plate ejects the waste(residual material in the runner) together with the workpiece from the movable mold. The sphericity puller is fixed in the core holding plate. The pin of diameter D, is connected to the mobile part of the mold.
