The residual material is ejected by ejection plate which forced by the side hook 6 as shown in Fig6.13.
The mold operates as follows: when the movable mold moves to the left, PL I is opened waste in the runner end is retained by pins 5 in the stationary mold, and the needle gate breaks off, the sprue remains in the sprue bush as shown in Fig. 6. 13b. When the mold has been opened by about 10 mm. the side hook 6 carries along the plate 2 which forcing the runner off the pin 5 as shown in Fig. 6. 13c. At the same time the Belleville springs I actuate the stripper plate 2, the sprue is detached from the sprue bush. The residual material falls out of the mold.
