The mold parts in motion are guided by guide pins and guide sleeves. The conventional guiding methods and fitting are shown in Fig. 6. 1. Regarding cost, the method shown in Fig. 6. 1a is the cheapest and simple structure, it is suitable for simple configuration and small amount products. The disadvantage is that the plate should be replaced if the guide bush wears. The advantage of Fig.6.1b is that the guide bush can be replaced easily. Molds with Fig. 6.lc and Fig.6.ld configuration of guide pin and bush have higher filling accuracy and little bit expensive than Fig. 6.1a or Fig. 6.1b.
Fig 6.2 and Fig 6.3 is guide pin and guide bush design respectively. Fig 6.4 shows the design of the filling of guide bush.
