The use of inclined guide bars is preferred to the guide pins. if the opening path of the mold is long and adhesionis large as shown in Fig. 7. I Ba. The guide bar 3 starts to pull out the side insert 4 when the mold starts to open.
The guide bar 3 enable the delayed pulling out the side insert 4 afler the commencement of opening as shown in Fig. 7. 18b. The side insert 4 is supported against the pressure building up in the nest. The supporting segment is made of hardened and wear- resistant steel.
The use of inclined guide bars is better choice, if the opening of mold is longer and the draving forcerequired is higher, the inclined guide bar with two diflerent guide angles ay and an can used as Fig. 7. 18c
