Fig 2.35 illustrates another design point taht is often overlooked by engineers is the low cost of molding that can be affected if a side hole is extended to the top of the workpiece. Side holes or openings may be molded without the used of pull pins or loose lugs in certain applications by using a "kiss-off" type of mold, thus facilitating a straight draw. It will lower price of workpieces and mold costs, but this procedure is not practical in many deisgn.
