Fig 6.46 is an injection mold with stripper plate built into the stationary mold part, and ejector pin built into the mobile mold part.

The internal hole of the workpiece is formed by hole-shaping mandrel 4 fixed to the stationary fixing plate 2. This mandrel is fairly long and when the mold is opened, the sudden cooling workpiece is liable to shrink on it. Ribs on the edge of the workpiece are built into the nobile mold part. It is necessary to ensure the safe position of the workpieces in the mobile mold part.

Operation: upon opening of the mold, springs 3 push stripper plates 16, and 18 off clamping plate I and stationary fixing plate 2, while workpieces remain in the still closed mobile mold. When the head of stroke limit screw 5 contacts stripper plate 16, hole-shaping mandrels 4 become completely drawn out of workpieces as shown in Fig. 6. 46b. The mold opens further(Fig. 6.46c)and upon contact of ejector bar 6 with the stop of the machine, ejector pins 10 lift workpieces out of their nests 14(Fig. 6.46d

Advantage: operation of the mold is trouble-free

Disadvantage: mold production is costly
