In Fig. 6.50, the sub-parting line I is for takeing the residual material, and the main partir line II is for takeing workpiece. The side hook 2 can be lifted out with a control hook 4 fixed to the stationary clamping plate 9. The use of the control hook generally results in lifting the ejector plates along a longer path. The ejector plate 8 can be actuated with side hook 2 which anchors the cam I during the mold opening, the sub-parting line I opens. When the ejector plate(or nest plate)8 has been lifted to the required extent, the nose of the hook 2 is pushed out of the cam I by hooke plate 4, and so the motion of ejector plate 8 is stopped. Following the mold opening, the main parting line II opens. The workpiece is pushed out of the movable mold by ejector pins 15. Angle a of the side hook 2 is wider than angle a of the supporting insert(or cam)l, which facilitates removal of the side hook along the arc of turning.
