The Workpiece Is Removed From The Mold By Actuation Of Ejector Plates

Fig6.23 shows that the workpiece is removed from the mold by actuation of ejector plate.USually ejector plates are actuated in injection molds or mold with ejector bars or pins.

Operation:sphericity puller, machined on the end of the central pin, which pulls out the waste from the sprue bush when the mold is opened. The ejector plate or strpper 9 is actuated by ejector pin 7 which is fixed by holding plate 2 and supporting plate 5. At the following opening, the ejection bar engages the stop of the machine, and forces the plates 5 and 2 to push strpper 9 forward and lifts the ejector plate 9. Ejector plate forward and lifts the ejector plate 9. Ejector plate 9 has pushes the workpiece out of the mold. During ejection, the stripper plate ejects the residual material in the runner together with the workpiece from the mold. Upon closing the mold the ejector plate 9 is returned to their initial position.

Adbantage: large ejecting area, simple configuration, no returning pin, without ejection marks on workpiece, good for large barrel-type or thin wall and transparent workpieces.
