The ejector plate 14 and forming plate 6 are actuated by guide pin with groove 1 and pin 12 forced by spring 11. both of inclined guide pin 3 and side insert 1 are stationary mold as shown in Fig7.17.
Operation: when the mold opens, the stationary ejector plate 14 and stationary frame plate 6 move together with mobile mold, because the stationary ejector systems are interconnected by pin 12 and guide pin 13, so the side insert I moves along the guide pin 3, and the insert I is pulled out of the workpiece. Upon completion of the movement of side insert, the stationary ejector system is stoped by limit screw 8 which stoped moving by guide pin with groove 7, and the pin 12 out of the groove of guide pin 13 at same time, the main parting line opens. Following the opening of mole the workpiece is pushed out of forming core 4 by ejector plate 5 connected to ejector pin 2 which is stoped by machine.

If angle a is narrow, the side insert will be pulled out with great force but the path will be short. For a long opening path the side insert can be moved at a wider angle a, but a usually is less than 25 to avoid self lock, because that the inclined guide pin must not be exposed to bending force.
